Through careful planning and collaboration with environmental and industry stakeholders, the Cajun Wind development team will work to bring the project to fruition while respecting the needs of the working waters.
Louisiana’s recreational and commercial fishing industries are a key part of our outreach to ensure the project supports and enhances local industry. Turbine substructures installed in other locations have been shown to act like reefs and can enhance the habitat for local fishing and present new opportunities for advancing fisheries research.
Steelhead is proud to take an active role in working with communities, industries agencies, and partners throughout the development process. A community approach is ingrained into our mission, and we welcome opportunities to learn the history, vision, and realities of where you live.
